Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about the Craft Brewery Dashboard
Do I need to have an IT staff?
No. LiveLogic maintains your dashboard in the cloud, on our servers. You can access the dashboard from anywhere you have an internet connection, but you aren’t responsible for any maintenance.
Do I need to purchase any hardware or software?
No. The only thing you need to access the dashboard is an internet connection.
How often is the data refreshed?
Data is refreshed as often as it is available. Your internal data (from Quickbooks, for example) will generally be refreshed weekly or monthly. Any targets you’ve set for your salespeople may only get updated once a year. Distributor data, once the data feeds are set up, will frequently be updated every night.
Can I send reports to investors? Distributors? Chains? Salespeople? Employees?
Absolutely. All views can be saved as PDFs or as images that can be sent to whoever you’d like. The reports from the dashboard are a great way to keep all of your stakeholders informed without having to manually build reports for them.
Does the dashboard work with brewpubs as well as breweries?
It does. Obviously the distributor views won’t be very useful if you aren’t working with distributors, but the number of products you’ll want to analyze will probably be much bigger.
How much time will I have to spend to get the dashboard set up?
There are several steps involved in getting set up, including sending us your internal data, sending us any distributor data you already have, and then setting up the automatic feeds. You will probably need a few hours to get us the initial batch of data. Distributors take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to get set up, but your time will only be needed to introduce us to the right people at each of your distributors.
How much does the dashboard cost?
You can find our current pricing for the dashboard here.
How much training is required to use the dashboard?
Using the dashboard is very intuitive, and pointing and clicking are the primary skills you’ll need.
Can I export data from the dashboard into Excel?
The data for each view can be exported to Excel, although the charts and graphs won’t export.
What would it cost to build a similar solution on my own?
You would need two or three high-end servers, software licenses to several different programs, a consulting firm to custom develop a data warehouse and business intelligence applications, and an IT staff to maintain the solution. The cost to develop this as a custom solution could easily exceed $100,000 to get started.
The data I have from distributors varies from month to month. Can it be loaded into the dashboard?
You’re probably used to getting distributor reports in different formats from month-to-month and from distributor to distributor. You get Excel files, screen prints, PDFs, and text files. We work with your distributors to automate a common file format, so your data will arrive reliably in the same format.
What browsers are supported?
Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and Opera are all supported. You can use PCs or Macs or Linux boxes.
How much do upgrades cost?
Upgrades are included in the monthly subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Call us. We want you to be thrilled, and if the dashboard isn’t meeting your needs, you can cancel. We will ask you why, because we are striving to create a tool that is indispensable for breweries.
Can I view my sales in 24/12 case equivalents? In barrel equivalents?
We convert all units into ounces based on the packaging, and can then show all sales in case equivalents, barrel equivalents, or any other equivalent you’d like.
